unexpected

Nothing makes me happier at the restaurant than to turn a grumpy walk-in guest into a smiling, willing to try just about anything, guest. It happens more often than you think that a guest who has had a long hard day or otherwise crappy start are part of a party that has chosen to be out for dinner and drinks. It is then that we try to strike with unexpected hospiltality. Those same people that seem so hardened to the day leave with a smile and a changed mood, granted sometimes tipsy, but nearly always a new regular of Swig. Two instances of this last night, make it three with a make-up dine and it was absolutely my pleasure to handle them personally...honestly it made my night.

Snow and The Holiday Season

The Holiday Season kicked off officially last night with our first couple of company and personal parties. And just like last year this first weekend in December was marked with our first significant snow of the year. Thanks to all of you who braved the weather to make it out for the evening. I hope the cancellations that were forced by the weather found some way to make their night enjoyable, we were all snug and warm and dry inside and it made for a couple great parties. Yankee gift exchanges were quite entertaining for a group of 50ppl.

If you had a scheduled night out ANYWHERE last night and are having problems rescheduling somewhere send me a note and we'll do our best.
